Thoughts, about stuff

What is going on with my personalised live.com page?

with one comment

Its a simple question and I think it needs to be answered. This personalised home page for the internet, a direct rival to iGoogle, hasn’t had any new features in months and the blog that accompanies it has been deathly silent. In the intervening period we have seen My MSN, the Spaces home page & http://home.live.com all sprout up and all of them want that magical status as the first page you see when you launch your web browser.

I suspect that the personalised live.com page that I first spoke about here is going to disappear at some point and the various features rolled into those other sites that I listed above. Am I right? I suspect the answer won’t be forthcoming for some time yet but its worth noting that its the only Windows Live property that hasn’t adopted the wave 2 banner.

  1. MyMSN should have died a while ago, it’s just so clunky and junky for a personalized page.

Live Spaces isn’t everything, (like so much can happen on a blog!) so that’s not a suitable home page for people either.

Windows Live Home is a joke – it looks nothing like it did in the pictures before it came out. It’s boring and stuffy.

I really like the personalized home page from live.com, but I want new stuff as well. It’s getting boring waiting for change and not receiving news.
