Thoughts, about stuff

Where is the SendTo folder in Vista?

leave a comment »

I always make a point of putting a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the SendTo menu on my right-click context menu in Windows Explorer but on Vista its a little hard to do that. Thanks to Raymond.CC I now know.

The SendTo folder is at:

  • C:Users{username}AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsSendTo

which you can reach using the handy %APPDATA% variable like so:

  • %APPDATA%MicrosoftWindowsSendTo

Word of warning though, you need to make sure that you can see protected O/S files:

vista_protected_os_files

Thanks again to Raymond for the tip.
