Microsoft My Phone won’t use Live Mesh

with 5 comments

My Phone doesn’t use Microsoft’s Active Sync (licensed to Apple, Google, Palm, Nokia etc) or Windows Live Mesh. It’s a dedicated consumer-oriented solution – Alex Reeve, Microsoft UK

  1. Nor does it apparently work with existing Windows Live products (Hotmail/Calendar/Contacts/etc.) I’m confused as to why MS chose to make a completely separate product move like this.

  4. Non-technical stuffs perhaps. They doesn’t want to provide ActiveSync for example, at least they should pay the compensation by developing the solution for other mobile OS other than Windows as soon as possible rather than waiting for third party to start. Reminds me of Live Mail’s Delta Sync.
