  1. wwDoesn’t Liveside has feed filtered per contributor ?They should’ve used feed for their own posts only rather than the whole site’s.

  2. I’d opt for the person who blogged about someone else’s blog. That’s an egregious misuse of technology. Surely a shared favorite, or at the very least Twitter, would be a better tool for that kind of broadcast.

  4. Oh, don’t get me started! LOL! I have proposed a "surgical Hide!" where you hide updates of a certain type made by a user. So, it doesn’t kill all there updates, and it doesn’t kill all the updates of that type (custom blog – for example in this case). I would like to kill certain twitters too. But not every update from the twittor nor all twitters from everyone else.

  7. Oh, Twitter updates began to drive me up the wall! Don’t have no more o’them! Don’t ‘do’ Liveside. I’ve heard of it but that’s about all. Someone can explain what it is if they fancy! Only if they really fancy, tho’.;-)

  8. @ Jen – LiveSide is an excellent blog run by Kip Kniskern and several other contributing authors. It follows anything related to Windows Live. Think of it as a blog version of our "All Things Live" group, with more focus on in-depth news than user discussions. I subscribe to LS to get up-to-the-minute WL announcements (although, Jamie actually beat them today when he noticed the postback-free PSM feature on the home page).

  9. If it tickles someone’s fancy, can they please explain how I can hide certain updates from people? This seems to be such a topical issue.

  10. Diana: As far as I can tell, I don’t think that is possible yet. However, I agree with you completely, it would be another nice feature to have. In the meantime all I can think of is to email the peron personally. If you’re referring to blogging and the like, your guess is as good as mine.

  11. You should be able to hide updates from your Homepage and Profile page. Hover over the update and click the little blue "gear" on the end. Choose one of the offered suggestions. Live Team have blogged about it, although it’s some months old, now.
